About Liz Guida
Liz Guida is the founder of Therapy at the Beach and a nationally recognized John F. Barnes Myofascial Release® therapist dedicated to helping people overcome pain, restore movement, and reclaim their lives. For more than two decades, Liz has devoted her career to discovering the most effective ways to help people heal—whether they are recovering from a motor vehicle accident, sports injury, surgery, or living with chronic pain and complex medical conditions.
At Therapy at the Beach, Liz specializes in John F. Barnes Myofascial Release, a gentle yet highly effective hands-on approach that addresses restrictions within the body’s fascial system. She works with individuals who have sustained injuries from automobile accidents, athletes seeking to improve performance and recover more quickly, and those facing chronic illnesses, neurological conditions, surgical recovery, or long-standing pain that has not responded to traditional treatment.
Liz’s approach to healing is deeply holistic. Drawing from her diverse background as a licensed massage therapist, health and wellness coach, educator, artist, endurance athlete, and movement specialist, she recognizes that every patient has a unique story. Her goal is not simply to reduce symptoms but to identify and treat the underlying restrictions that limit the body’s natural ability to heal.
Throughout her career, Liz has been committed to serving her community. She previously served as Assistant Director of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center Annex, where she developed therapeutic art programs for terminally ill children and cancer patients. She has also coached young athletes with Sussex Academy Cross Country, Beacon Middle School Track, and Seashore Striders Cross Country, sharing her passion for health, resilience, and lifelong wellness.
In 2021, Liz partnered with Steve Caldwell to co-found Delaware Hyperbarics, expanding her mission of helping people heal by integrating hyperbaric oxygen therapy with comprehensive rehabilitation and wellness services. As Chief Financial Officer of Delaware Hyperbarics, she continues to collaborate with patients and healthcare providers to deliver innovative, evidence-based care that supports recovery from injury, surgery, chronic illness, and athletic performance.
Liz earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts in 1992 and graduated from the Potomac Massage Training Institute in 2000. She is certified as a Chamber Operator and Intermediate Hyperbaric Technician through the International Board of Undersea Medicine (IBUM) and completed Georgetown University’s Health and Wellness Coaching Certification in 2024.
Whether helping someone recover after a car accident, guiding an athlete back to peak performance, or supporting a person living with chronic illness, Liz’s mission remains the same: to restore balance, empower healing, and help every patient live a healthier, more active life.
